Keyboard shortcut to insert emoji and special symbols on macOS
Did you know you can use the keyboard shortcut “control+command+space” to bring up the emoji picker on Apple macOS?
From the pop-up menu that appears you can choose from the range of emojis.
Special symbols, Currency, Greek letters, etc
You can even search for special symbols, currency, and greek letters like ❈, ©, ₹, and θ. You can either jump to those categories or search for them by typing in the search field, e.g. “Omega”, “copyright”, “trademark”, “rupee”, etc.
Advanced Character Viewer
And if you click on the button next to the search bar that looks like a window, it will open the Character Viewer window which will offer better categorization and exploration opportunities. The previews are bigger. And you can even find out what each of those emojis or special characters are called.
