If you are on the iOS 12 beta profile and want to get out of the program because:
- It’s buggy and want to get to stable version
- iOS 12 beta releases are over and final version is coming out officially
Then here are the steps for you
- Open Settings app on your iOS device e.g. iPhone
- Select “General”
- Now scroll down to find “Profile” Button. It might show something like “iOS 12 Beta Software Profile” written against it. Select it
- In the new Profile page there will be your Beta profile listed as below, select it
- Now press the “Remove Profile” Button
- It will ask for your Phone’s passcode , enter it
- It will once again prompt you for confirmation, just press “Remove”
- And you are done, it should now display “No profiles are currently installed”Now just wait for the next official stable update from Apple (whenever it might release) and it will appear in Settings->General->Software Update.
iOS 12.0 is launching officially for everyone on 17th September 2018 (iPhone 5S and above ).
::: BONUS :::
The final Beta version of iOS 12.0 (also known as Gold Master) is 16A366 as shown in screenshot below. If you have this version installed, it means no new beta versions will come after this for 12.0 and you should remove “Beta” Profile as mentioned in above steps to receive stable official version. Stable version will mostly be around 2-2.5 GB in size as an update.
